Questions to consider
Gather/Organise

What do I know about this?
What do I know about cyber safety?
I know that it is when you protect yourself when you’re online.
Have I presented material about cyber safety before?
This is the first poster/presentation that I have done.
Do I understand what I have to do? Is there anything I don’t understand about this activity?
I understand most things in this project. But there are a few things
What skills and knowledge will I be using?
Pictures, gimp, etc.
Identify

What is the task?
What do I want to accomplish in creating a poster? How do I want to interest others in my topic? Do I want to present an informative poster that can be used as a reference? Do I want to present a warning poster that alerts people to danger? Or some combination of those goals?
Use bright colours, attractive pictures/fonts
I would like to make an informative poster that can help people.
What do I need in order to do this? What materials do I have? What resources do I need? Should I do more research on cyber safety? GIMP, Laptop, know how to use the tools in GIMP. I the info and draft so that can make the poster. I don’t think that I need to do any more research.
Who will be looking at this work? Other girls in the school. How can I appeal to other students? By making it striking so that it will catch their eye.
Are there examples of cyber safety posters or materials that I can look at? There are some in our DLL class from last year.
What are the obstacles? What problems may happen? I think I might have a bit of trouble with using some of the tools in gimp.
Can I draw a diagram that will help me to visualise my work? Draw some rough ideas for posters. I have drawn a plan and it will be put in my plastic case at the end.
Generate

How many ideas can I think of?
List as many ideas as possible.
Bright colours
Stop sign
Tips
Big titles
Pictures
What aspects of cyber safety interest me? What would I want to see on a poster? I would like to see information and tips on a poster.
Consider the advantages and disadvantages of each idea.
Bright colours = + it is attractive and striking to others, - it will use up lots of printer ink.
Stop sign = + it is again very striking to a person’s eye, - it will be hard to get a good picture of one.
Tips = + there good to help people, - finding quick, easy and useful tips could bit hard to think of
Big titles = + it is a good way to attract someone’s eye, - it is hard to get a big striking title on a small page.
Pictures = they are a good way to add some extra colour and take up some unused space, - it is hard to find an appropriate picture/s.
Are there any other subjects to consider?
Yes there is txt bulling and using other pieces of technology (e.g. e-mail, ect)
What resources (books, websites, etc.) have I been provided with? We have watched a video and done some research in class.
What do other people think about this? Do others think I have a good idea? Yes a few people have said that my poster looks cool.
Decide

Which is the best idea?
Which are the best ideas? Prioritise the 3-5 best ideas. Pictures, Big titles, bright colours & stop sign.
Explain your reasons for choosing these. What are the arguments for and against each idea?
They are all attractive and will attract people’s attention.
Which idea is the best one for completing the task? Which idea is best for accomplishing my goal? Proberbly useing bright colour
What is my plan? What are the steps to follow?
How will I keep track of my progress? What are my milestones?
Possible list of steps:
I will do a little bit of it each night and use my time in DLL class wisely.
Research and gather material about my subject.
Revise material and compose text for poster.
Create graphics.
Take pictures. Edit pictures.
Assemble text and images into poster.
Review poster and modify as needed.

Part Two – Implementing and Evaluating

TASC Process
Questions to consider
Implement

Let’s do it!
Am I making progress through the plan?
Yes I am, I am almost finished my poster.
Am I doing this correctly? You may need to review your goal for this activity.

Do I need to revise my plan? As you continue, you may discover facts that require changing the plan. Yes i’m useing my draft (plan) as a guidline for my poster
Am I satisfied with the text/graphics/pictures that I have created?
Yes. I had a bit of trouble geting my text right, but I got it right in the end.

Is the text as interesting or informative as intended?
To me I think it is informative because, it has a few tips on it.
Are the graphics and images appealing?
Yes, I have used a stop sign and it looks really cool.
What have I done?
I have used: bright colours, big titles, and informative text
I had a bit of trouble knowing how to use some of the GIMP tools and I solved that by asking Mrs. beadle for help.
class/ school projects.
What have I done really well? Is there anything that stands out as particularly good?
I think the colours that I have chosen all go together quite well!!!
Is there anything that needs improvement? Should I go back and redo anything?
No I think it looks really good.
Am I ready to communicate my ideas or show/display my work to others? Is the poster ready to be shown to others? Yes just about, I think it needs a few touch ups.
Communicate

Let’s tell someone!
(You may have answered some of these questions early on during the planning stages.)Who can I tell? Who is my audience?

I think I would work on it a bit more out of school time.
How have I improved since that last time I worked on a similar task?
Well I’m not sure cause I’ve never really done something like this before
Have I learned anything about my subject or about appealing to others or about presenting information? I think working on this subject has made me more aware on how I can prevent cyber bulling
Can I use that elsewhere?
I can use the information that I have learnt when I am online
How has my thinking changed as a result of this work?
What skills have I learned and developed?
I have learnt how to use gimp.
Can these skills be applied to other subjects/activities?
It can be used maybe in other class/ school projects.
What problems did I have to solve? Were there obstacles in developing ideas, researching material, or presenting the material? How were they overcome?
I had a bit of trouble knowing how to use some of the GIMP tools and I solved that by asking Mrs. beadle for help.
How did I use the strengths of others to help me?
They gave me some good tips and ideas.
